Shooting Instructor

These regulations specify the requirements and qualifications for individuals, the training program, and the templates for documents
certifying the qualifications of the shooting instructor.
§ 2

1. The qualification to serve as a range officer may be granted to a person who meets all of the following conditions:
   
   a) is at least 21 years of age;
   b) has completed at least 24 hours of training in range operations and
   first aid in accordance with the program set forth in Appendix 1 to
   these regulations
   c) holds:
   – a shooting certification or
   – a firearms permit or
   – authorization to possess firearms and a coach’s license or
   – authorization to possess firearms and a referee’s license or
   – authorization to possess firearms and a competitor’s license
   d) a person who does not meet any of the conditions in section C, may obtain a shooting range operator’s license
   if they are a member of the uniformed services and possess an assigned
   service firearm, or if they were formerly a member of those services and possess a permit
   authorizing them to possess a firearm.
2. A person who has completed an instructor training course covering the topics listed in § 3 is
   exempt from the requirement to complete the course referred to in § 2(1)(b). The list of persons eligible for
   issuance of an ID card is submitted by the organizer of such a course in accordance with paragraph 6.
3. The direct organizer of the training may be:
   a) a company (school or center) that conducts training activities in sport shooting
   b) a provincial sport shooting association or a sports club holding a PZSS club license
   .
4. A detailed course outline and a list of instructors must be submitted to the PZSS office at
   7 days before the scheduled training.
5. The course must conclude with an exam consisting of at least 20 questions
   covering the topics included in the course syllabus. The exam questions are prepared by
   the course organizers.
6. A list of individuals who have completed the training must be submitted within 7 days after the end of the training
   (exclusively in electronic form in .xls format, in accordance with the template at
   , Appendix No. 2 to these regulations) along with proof of payment for the issuance of the ID card.
   § 3
   The PZSS maintains documentation and records of issued ID cards
   § 4
   The template for the ID card referred to in § 4 is attached as an appendix to these regulations.
   § 5
   These regulations, approved by the PZSS Board of Directors on November 23, 2022, shall enter into force
   on January 1, 2023.
